Here it is Ralph, I do know one thing about this sticker but will let you take a look at it first. I can take a closer pic if this one's too small.

Other than the production date, I don't see anything of note. The photos I've collected show that almost all small blocks were built at Dow-Smith after the strike unless they had side exhaust. There are a few exceptions. I wouldn't have been able to guess the vin, not enough data for now.

What is with the 02-10-66 production date?

              Yes sir, interesting, huh.
              I expect it's a typo.
I bought the car in 1973, pulled the sticker in '83.
Everything matches the car except the PO pulled the N11 and put side pipes on.

Probably like the rest of us. It's hard to get used to use the new year date for a while.

But the car was built in mid January '67 not February.

Yea, I certainly have no explaination.
What is the "Date received" ?
                    It's 12-27-66.

That date is the expected date & only a guess. Not written in stone.

                          Re: Fake Documentation

This is an interesting thread and that is an even more interesting site!

Now I have a question that I've often thought of and may have asked, I'll ask again. How important is documentation...REALLY? I can't tell whats real or fake and because of my remote location to most of the knowledgable people here I'll never be able to learn it either. I'm currently looking for a nice C2 or Tri-Power 68-69 to replace my 69 L36 and to be honest threads like this give me the "willies" because I know my car is real but how can one make sure that my next one will be?

For me the stamp pad is where to look assuming it's the original engine and if I come across a car I like I'll often post a pic of the pad to get opinions on it. I think its way harder to fake stamp pads than docs so do you guys agree with my stamp pad theory or are docs important too?

People have been restamping pads longer than they have been making paperwork. Trust nothing.

                                Ken,
People have been faking paperwork since before Corvettes were first made. Fake paper goes back to the middle ages, and the FBI has had a paper analysis office since before Corvettes were built in Flint. Good ol' J Edgar started it. Keep this in mind:
