I am looking for a passenger side seat track for my early model '68. The one without the adjustment mechanism. Is this an one year '68 only part or will other years be the same??? Just need to know what to look for. Mine was damaged and has an amateur-like repair done to it. Functions "OK" but cosmetically it is crude. Thanks in advance.

Blair, I believe there were a few different seat back release lever positions in 68. Is that what you are refering to?New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: *** '68 Seat track ***
Hello Edward, Thanks for the reply - I am referring to the 2 seat tracks mounted to the bottom of the seat which is then bolted to the floor. One has an adjusting mechanism to allow the entire seat to be adjusted forward or backwards.
I believe you are referring to the seat back release lever on the backside of the seat to allow the seat back to be flipped forward to gain access into the rear compartment. My early model '68 has the release lever in the lower position of the seatback. I think mid year '68s had the lever moved up on the seat back for greater convenience.- Top
