1960 coil wire orientation?

I've looked in the AIM, searched this forum and looked in the ST-12. I've probably overlooked it, but which wire goes to which terminal on the Coil. I assume the black wire from the distributor goes to the '+' positive terminal and the green wire from the balast resistor goes to the '-' negative terminal. Is this correct?

I actually found a picture in a thread that showed both wires on the positive terminal, so which is correct?

Now how logical is that, the one place I didn't but should have looked. I looked in Section 12, but didn't look at the wiring diagram.
