75 - 76 Distributor Top Shield

I have two different Distributor Top Shields that are for 75 - 76. The two are identical except that one has a square hole in the front surface and a vertical bulge in the back surface. The other shield has no hole and no bulge. Everything else is identical The one with the hole and bulge still has a GM part number tag 351696. Was there a design change somewhere in 75 or 76? Which one is correct for my April 75 car? I couldn't find anything in the archives.

One version has the square hole and the vertical bulge on back. the other has no hole or bulge?

I can confirm that the shield on the left matches my original '75s shielding - square hole front, vertical bulge in back.

The one on the left matches my 1977 also. It is the original part and the car has been topflighted at all levels.
