Tri-power carby dates...

Hi,

I've been looking around for information on the date codes for these carby's but have been unable to find definitive answers on 4 character codes. I'm assuming they are not date correct for my late 69 (July) L 68, but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Just trying to find out what i have.

Michael -

The "Fourth Digit - Year" chart on that site is incorrect where it shows 1968 as a possible year when the 4th digit is an "8"; the 4-digit Holley date coding didn't start until 1973, so an "8" as the fourth digit would represent 1978 (or 88 or 98). Grahame's carbs are in that category (1978 or later Service replacements).

Thank you so much everyone, it confirms what I first thought. I have the receipt for there replacement but thought they were second hand carbs, I'll check the date on the receipt which might confirm.
