    How much value???

How much value would a vinyl hardtop add to the value of a '67 L71 vette? I probably wouldn't use it much but am considering acquiring one to complete the restoration to factory delivered specs. Any thoughts? Thanks!

IMO it would add zero value. I sold the hardtop that came with my 1966 convertible for $400 back in the late 1980's because it was ugly.

The price hasn't risen much since then. I've seen several at recent swap meets, including a vinyl top one for 500-600 in excellent condition. Personally, I agree, they look like crap and end up gathering dust off in a corner somewhere.

Wow...I see your point. Would anyone here want to unload a vinyl hardtop in very good condition?

I have always liked the vinyl on Corvette hardtops, mostly because it's not that common. Works best with maroon or yellow, in my view.

Is there a section on this forum for parts wanted/for sale that I could check to see if one is available and how much?

Check the old driveline here. You can't post wantwd or for sale on the NCRS site.

I'll take a dozen vinyl 67's hardtops in excellent condition at $500.

You would be lucky to get a nice one for under $750 more like $1000-1200.

Come up to the NorthWest in Feb. for the Corvette & High Performance swap meet in Puyallup. Last year there were several hardtops in the $500 range. The 67 vinyl one was advertised locally on Craig's list for a very long time at $500. I don't know if it ever sold but the pictures showed that it was in very nice shape inside and out. Personally, I don't see why anyone would want a hardtop. The one for my 60 hasn't be on the car since 1984.

There seems to be some confusion as to what headliner came with the vinyl tops. My "source" tells me they were all black inside, but I see one on Ebay with a red headliner. I assume that means the one I eventually buy should have a bright blue headliner to match my interior. Does everyone on this forum with vinyl hardtops agree?

                          Ronald -

It doesn't matter if a '67 hardtop has the optional C08 vinyl covering or not - the headliner and interior moldings always match the interior color.

I'll take two dozen! I've been looking for a '67 vinyl hardtop for a couple of years in northern NV and CA. The only thing I've found is over-priced junk in the $1500-2000 range.
