    67 427/435 A.I.R vacuum diagram

A friend who is not on the forum asked me to post this. He needs a clear vacuum routing diagram for a 67 L71 A.I.R. car he is working on. He says he has the AIM but it is not clear enough. I don't know if that means too confusing or just unreadable. On the off chance it is the same as a 1968 L71 we have a car to look at, but would rather have the diagram.

    Any help is appreciated.

Best I can do, the real secrets seem to be in the small drawing in "view A"

      Rich -

If you look at View "A" on the '67 AIM sheet Bill posted (K19, sheet A7), it shows the signal hose to the mixture control valve being teed into the choke pull-off diaphragm hose that goes to the front of the base of the center carburetor; you cut the hose, insert the plastic tee, and the mixture control valve signal hose goes from that tee to the nipple on the valve. That's the only K19-unique vacuum hose involved - the distributor vacuum hose routes/installs the same as the non-K19 engine, from the nipple on the passenger side of the center carb base. You can see that signal hose in the photo below, adjacent to the oil fill cap.

        Bill and John.

Thank you very much. I will forward both things on and I think I will see my buddy tomorrow. I know he owns a 67 L71 without K19, so this should make sense to him.
