I just received the restored alternator, voltage regulator, horn relay and starter I sent him from a 66 Corvette. Took about two months for everything and they all look and function beautifully.

I also received an alternator for a '63 from him and it was perfect and delivered on promised date.

I am hesitant to do that on a public forum. But I don't want another NCRS member to have trouble.

He did my 63 starter in less time than he estimated. It's perfect! Never a problem with John.

he has done many parts for are many cars. always a great person to deal with. always comes out looking great. in fact my father had a alternator that was restored by him fail on him while driving the car. he restored it again with no cost besides shipping. no questions asked

You have already stirred the pot fairly well with your first post. If you have a problem with a vendor or repair facility, work it out with them and don't drag this forum into a private dispute.

Why is it that these broadside complaints always seem to come from members who have very few posts to their history?

That's an unfair statement about posters who have very few posts. I've been a member of the NCRS for 14+ years now. I read this forum often and post very infrequently. That doesn't mean I would post a complaint. I just feel I don't have to comment on everthing I know anything about. That being said, I don't want to start a fight between those that post a lot and those of us that don't. I simply live by the saying, "Even a fish wouldn't get into trouble if he kept his mouth shut".

I've been doing business with John's company since the 80's and I've never had anything except a 100% great transaction. First class work, first class people. I have the original starter, alternator and regulator off of one of my '67 435 cars to send them and would never give it a second thought.

As an Administrator of a website with over 60K registered members, I can say that we would immediately remove an abstract post such as this from a basically unknown member slamming a long termer with an excellent reputation. That's not to say that a complaint shouldn't be aired on a forum if it is legitimate, but it should be specific with all details listed and then let the court of public opinion weigh in. This is basically asking for a prejudice without giving details.
