Issue with Article in On Solid Ground-54 Lights

The latest issue has an article on "bright" replacement headlight and taillight bulbs for a 54. I followed the article purchased the headlights and they don't fit. The bulbs are 1/2" too deep. I had tried for two weeks to reach the source for the led taillight bulbs but to no avail. Their website seems fine but wont accept payment. Calls to the store go unanswered.

Beware dont waste your $$ on these parts. Not used to being steering wrong with this publication.

Did you try contacting the author of the article to see if you were given the same parts that he used? The vendor may have changed the parts.

Saw the article but didn't think it was the best approach. I wrote a previous article on converting your 6V steelbacks to use modern, brighter bulbs. Haven't given any consideration to the tail lights though.
