I feel like I know the answer to this but I think I better double check! On the bottomside of the hood, how does the tape line run (what is painted black).

Here's a trunk lid. About half of what you see painted copper is tape. There are other such discussions in the archives, I think.

See the '67 yellow hood also. That was an attempt to match what the original "line" was like. Painter did too good a job...
