I'm looking for a resource that would give the 7-digit ink-stamped numbers on the magnet of 61-67 Delco speakers. I have old radio books and parts books (GM) but can't find those numbers listed.
Source for Delco speaker part numbers?

Re: Source for Delco speaker part numbers?
Generally (but not always), the part number stamped on Delco speakers is different than the SERVICE part number found in P&A Catalogs, radio or otherwise. Why this is the case I have no idea. I know of no reference which cross-references on-speaker part numbers to SERVICE part numbers. There probably exists such information on internal GM documents. Certainly, it exists on the drawing/specification document for the SERVICE part number. Of course, we usually don't have access to any of this sort of information. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Source for Delco speaker part numbers?
Mike -- I have the 1963 (AM only) Chevrolet Radio Service Shop Manual, and '64 thru '67 versions for the AM/FM. In the parts list, the speaker is always service part # 7282256.
However, all original factory installed speakers are stamped 7282156 (see thumbnail). The service 256 has a shallower profile, and the magnet is turned 90 degrees to the factory configuration.
Some have called the '256' the "special / really rare" speaker for C2 air conditioned cars. My original '65 C60 has the '156' version, and I see no need for the factory to have need for a special speaker for installation on air Corvettes.
Can't speak to the '61-2 model years, as I have no manuals. The picture was an eBay posting, supposedly off a '63 AM Wonderbar radio Corvette.Attached Files- Top
