Was there any pattern in the early C2 between the door knob ball and the shifter ball. I have seen 63's with white and black door knobs and am not sure the shifter ball always matches. I think from 65 on all door knobs and shifter knobs were chrome. What was the factory pattern if any on early C2s?

Referencing my 63-64 Judging Guide, here is what it states.
Door Rrelease Knob is Black for '63 and on some very early '64. Later '64's are chrome.
Shifter knobs seem to match the door knob, but there is a lenghtly discriptions separating all the different transsmissions, 3 speed, 4 speed and auto.
Basically they went to the chrome ball in '64, but had some left over black balls that were used on very early '64's. -

56-62 door and shift knobs were white. 63 black. 64-up as already indicated. NO pattern on the shift ball itself.Comment
