What a blast to have a great car to drive, anywhere.....

I make a trip two or three times a week to the local little grocery store in my small town, and stop by the casino to drop a few coins in the machines. I usually take my '67 L71, and park it so people can see it. When I return from the shopping, there are usually several people looking at it, and of course I get to spend a while explaining it. Great fun and it always reminds me what a blast these cars are to have, even with the road tires and wheels (Rally wheels and Goodyear Power Cushions stored until a show), the people around don't know or care.

I get mine out and about as well Mike. People have their stories to tell about these cars.....however I don't like parking mine as close to the "regular" every day cars.

I'll bet that there a few people, who are not familiar with old Corvettes, who ask you what year and make the car is. When you answer the question they are surprized. The design still looks modern and cool.

Oh yes, they do! It is amazing how modern and trendy the design still is.

            Let's see......
            • Low center of gravity
            • Light weight build
            • Aerodyamic design
            • Hide-a-way headlights
            • Full independent system
            • Disc braking all four wheels
            • Good ergonomics
            • Nice cornering
            • Runs like a scalded dog!

Are we talking about a 60's vehcile here?

Thanks Mike. Many owners use steel wheels/wheel covers or knock off's.....I wanted something different. I decided on a old school wheel (American 200S's) with a new school look. After purchase I primed and painted the center spokes a Pewter color to contrast the Nassau Blue paint. Appreciate the compliment.

Exactly Mike, that's what they call a timeless design!

Nice to see you out driving. Wherever you go in these old Vettes you become an instant celebrity. I try to drive one every day as long as the weather and road conditions allow it.
