1976, orange exterior, brown interior.
Exception was white door panels and seats.
Trim tag shows brown interior.
Door panels were replaced with reproductions, previous owner claimed they were always white, along
with the seats.
Car is a Jan. '76 build.
I pull the seats apart, the metal trim tags show Dec. 1975 dates.
Seat leather is original and the cushions are date stamped Dec. 15th, backs are stamped Dec. 16th, 1975.
I started to nose around NCRS regarding special orders.
I noted several NCRS postings regarding ordering non-standard color combo's, but has anyone ever heard of GM using 2 colors inside - especially brown and white ?
Needless to say - the chances of someone swapping the seats with something 'date coded' I think would be slim to none.
If anyones wants to know, no idea on the build sheet yet.........I did read about the ZP2 override with earlier C3's........
