Signed up for a PV at the Kissimmee regional in a few Weeks.

I was told that NCRS rules wont allow a car to be flight judged at an event where it is being judged for a PV.

When do the PV tests take place? I thought that it was before all of the flight judging.

I wonder how many people will tell me this year that my father has a beautiful car...

PV Tests can take place anytime during the meet. It depends on the workload/schedule of the National Team Leader. They try to be as accomodating to the owners as possible, but they have the final call of the scheduling for the PV test. And to answer your first question...at a regional or convention, the car can either be flight judged, or PV'd, not both. In order to attempt a PV, the car must have achieved at least a Third Flight at any meet by the current registered owner.

PV's must be scheduled in advance with the National Team Leader. Team leaders are listed www.ncrs.org in the Contacts tab.

Gary the rule about the PV/Flight at the same meet has been effect for about 20 years. At about the same time the rule was made that all PV cars had to be on the judging field until the end of Flight judging

I don't think that many owners nerves would stand up to a PV and Flight Judging at the same event...............

Used to be real common, owners wanted a two meet slam dunk to get the Duntov. They would show up at Cypress Gardens, go for the Top Flight and PV, if they made it the next time you saw them they were at the National Convention. To my knowledge, I had the last car that did both, although I already had my Top Flight, I wanted different eyes looking at it to help me prepare it for the Convention.

I already top flighted at the regional last year. Corrected some of the detailed things I lost points for without trying to really do any restoration. Figured I would score quite a bit higher, also have bias ply tires now for the pv.

I guess I will just have to wait it out for another year.

If your talking about waiting a full 12 months you do not have to - you just can't do both at one meet. If you pass the PV you can sign up for anything else you feel like going to. Good luck
