I would like to find someone for a new convertible top. Is it better to get an Al Knoch and have someone put it on or buy it from the guy who will installs it. I heard there was a good guy in Tampa by the last name of Patterson. Is anyone familiar with him? Thanks

Re: 62 convertible top
I would normally do that but not knowing if there are companies out there that are as good or better then Al Knoch I asked. There are some major horror stories out there and at last week's chapter meet I heard quite a few. That's why I asked about this guy Patterson in Tampa who they mentioned were good. Tried to get his info but the member left. Joe- Top

Re: 62 convertible top
We have one of the best guys here in Philly specializing in Very expensive rare car interiors. He has done lots of Corvettes for our club members. He normally tells us to just get the top from Al. He likes to use his tack strips if needed.Steve Gansky

Re: 62 convertible top
I had Al Knoch install my top at Carlisle. It was the first top they ever installed at Carlisle. I now know why, it took 9 hours to complete. The installer wouldn't do it until he completed that day's seats, I guess there was more commission for seats. He finished at 3 am and I drove it home after. Long day.- Top
