67 S body - Zinc Chromate?

Re-finishing my seat belt plates and the original appear to have been coated with Zinc Chromate.
According to the official records, Zinc Chromate was applied to this area on A bodies only.
I am the third owner and the only one to get into the this type of detail so this is the original finish. Do I re-zinc or Low Gloss Black?

As far as I know, the way you have stated it is correct. I would paint them black.

They wouldn't be zinc chromate, which was light/bright green primer; they were either flow-coat-primed black or zinc plated; mine are light rust over poor zinc plating.
