I have a 1963 T-10 transmission. The tail housing is dated 9-27-62 and the side cover is dated 9-26-62. I need help decoding the numbers and letters stamped into the bearing carrier that mounts between the main case and tail housing. It's stamped as follows: WM 1423 and 3106085. Can any member please decode this for me? Thanks Rich

Re: 1963 T-10 numbers
Agree with Ed as noted.. "W" = Warner, "M" = December... ("14") = 14th day of Dec.... the "2" means 1962, and the "3" = 3rd shift when produced. The #3106085 should match your car's VIN, meaning it was the 6,085th car produced in 1963... and I think that would match with production sequence numbers for Dec 63.- Top
