    1962 rims

On a 1962 base motor car w/3 speed trans, what is the widest rim you can put on the car? Can I use the 8" rally wheels from a C3? Or should a set of 7" rally wheels from a '67? The car right now has a set of real wire wheels. Pain in the neck to keep clean.

i run 15x6 rims on my c-1's after they've been thru the ncrs judging process(can't stand to drive them on bias belted tires ) so i switch to radials with generic 15x6 rims. i fear a 15x7 will cause tire rub on the front tires( rubbing the frame ) mike

I run 7 inch rally wheels on my 62 with no problems. 215's up front and 225's on the rear.

Thanks for the reply. The car is not an NCRS car, just a real nice old driver with the base 3 speed tranny. Does have the original #s matching drivetrain.
