Is there no company that sells the evaporator foil plate/decal for a 1964?
I have been searching all over with no luck finding the decal for a 1964. Only found for a 1965 and newer

Old "Indian Trick". Drill a very small hole in the engine side of the motor, right over the shaft. A couple drops of light oil will quieten the motor down 99% of the time. Clean the oil from the outside of the motor and place a very tiny bit of epoxy to seal the hole. Clean it up, a little paint, and you are back in business.

Thanks for the tip Dick Learning new "how to`s" every day
I have cleaned the old fan for the blower motor and it came out okay(Should i paint it?The old and new fan is 1 centimeter longer than the new fan(the new fan is 6 centimeters long and the old is 7 centimeters long)
The most important difference is that there is no set screw on the axle for the blower motor on the old fan

          All,

Does anyone have a simple or clever way to check or redo the balance on the fan cage?

When looking at the balance weights on the fan for my car i will not take them off.
I got the fan cleaned good and if i decide to take the fan to get new coating it will be done with the weights on

The original fan is just not longer but it is a little bigger in diameter as well

Re: Restore or buy new AC blower motor?

I have a couple of questions about some AC parts for my 64 coupeI am missing the bracket that is placed on the AC boxes so great if anybody can help me with the measurements on the bracket
The length, width and the flat part on the middle of the bracket before it turns down to lay flat on the boxes on the AC boxes(see the red arrows on the picture to the left and the one to the right)

Does one of the hoses from the drier go over the top of the radiator support or thru a hole(see the picture in the middle)
It is hard to tell from looking at the picture if the hose is cut or if it goes thru the radiator support
