I don't know if there's a number embossed on the fan, or not. In any event, the GM part number was 7801137.

In my continued search for a 3925522 pulley (and a 7801149) I have noticed some pulleys have a 2 letter designation behind the part number. For example: 3925522 AO. What exactly does the AO represent. Some pulleys have this and some just have 3925522. Could someone please explain. Thanks in advance. BK

        Blair -

That alpha code is the "Broadcast Code" for the part - that code ID'd the part for the assembly line operator, and appeared in a box on the original in-plant "Broadcast Copy" (build sheet) they used to build the car from. Many parts were ID'd with broadcast codes in the 60's, and almost all parts in the 70's.
