On a 66 AC, what does the correct tube look like that mounts on the STV and attaches with a hose to the compressor? 90 deg bend or sweeping bend? AIM shows it as 3842972

Jeremy -- can't vouch for a '66, but on my early '65, this elbow/tube (same part # in '65 AIM as you show) is a long sweeping bend of (say) 120 degrees total.- Top

Curved sounds good, since that is what I have, albeit a little bent. I'm going to try to remove the kink, but if unsuccessful I would purchase a new one. All the ones I found (probably the same one) are 90 degrees like the one shown on the ebay link above, so it got me thinking which one is right. Enough little things have been changed on the car over the last 4 decades that I wasn't sure if this was one of the changed items or not.- Top
