We could use more details as how door currently hangs. Top/bottom...front/back...style lines....new or old w/s, etc? Pics would help as well.

Well first I would see how it fits with zero shims, to establish a baseline. You do need to have the weatherstrip installed. I would also have the vent window assembly installed since it will tend to push out on the top/front door corner.

Since I work alone, this door support attached to a floor jack was a big help. Just some scrap lumber and carpet.
