signal flasher & capacitor

Im trying to finish a 63 conv. Im having trouble making the signal flasher and capacitor fit . I cant get them plugged in due to the hood release cable being in the way . I even unbolted the cable plugged in the flasher/capacitor then tried to bolt the hood release up , no luck the cable pulls the flasher out . anybody have any photos are ideas ? thanks Bill

Bill does your 63 have a AM or AM/FM radio? my E63 AM radio has the capacitor on the column next to the switch,its a total different animal than the AM/FM .

Even with the flasher in place on the 63 the hood cable is up against the flasher.Do you have the AIM handy? it may show the configuration of the flasher and capacitor.

Hi ed. This is a very late 63 it has an AM FM . Yes I have checked the assembly manual hood release and the flasher/capacitor sections , no help there.
The hood release fits great. thanks bill

This may help a little! Now I have tap on the hood release so it does not touch case. A past owner warped tap around the entire flasher, for . .
Notice its the rectangle unit, but the round one is a worst fit. Perhaps that's why a new location was used later on the C2s?

Do you have the little hook installed between the hood release cable and the vent cable? It raises one of them but I can't recall which one.

the rectangular Signal Stat flasher fit much better than the round Tung Sol.
