If we're refering to the same SW coast "Dave" I was gonna post about his eBay used distributor caps missing chunks @ $10K a pop, but decided to restrain myself . There's probably a message there somewhere.

That's the one. I thought MAYBE I was out of touch with straight axle wiper motors and even with ole' Dave's usual insanely crazy prices MAYBE they were bringing big bucks, BUT THEN I looked a little farther and somebody else has a better looking one listed for about $250. so I guess I'm still just dumbfounded why somebody would pay listing fees for something that has no chance of getting a bid.

I also have an E Bay saved search for Vintage Go Kart. Some clown has had some plywood bodied pile of scrap on there for $10K opening bid for about 6 months. What's with the $10K opening bids on things that are worth a hundred or two at most?
