68 exhaust manifolds

What type of finish is exceptable for these manifolds? Powder coating, spray paint or just plan old sandblasted cast iron that will rust in a day or two ?

In my judging opinion natural with slight surface rust but others may have a different opinion on this. I look at this as normal due to it is judge as delivered from the dealer condition is a variable due weather conditions at each dealer varies by state and also by the season and the time the car also sat at the dealer. For me light surface rust is normal on natural steel parts.

My old 1971 was built in Sept 1970 and was sold to the first owner Aug. 1971 so it sat for 11 months outside.

Same here Jeff. I small "toothbrush" like brass brush can help remove excess surfase rust and give the manifolds a slightly rusted look. I've Top Flight'ed twice using this method.
