    1960 Trunk Lock Removal/Assembly

    Trying to remove the trunk lock mechanism. Checked the AIM, but it doesn't give many tips or how to? Also when I removed the LH hinge, there was date stamp that read JAN 13 1960...THAT WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE...
    Can someone please send any instructions, tips and pics...Please see attached pics...

      In picture 3 you can see the lock mechanism and the metal lock retainer.
      Slide the lock retainer so the open area is in position to let the lock pull out of the retainer and the trunk lid.

          Tom, you will probably find a date stamped under hinge of the soft top compartment lid.
