    67 Dipstick Tube

OK, should the dipstick tube on a 67 327-300HP be swedged slightly smaller on the end where the dipstick enters or are they the same diameter from end to end?

It's swaged down on the upper end (dipstick insertion end). This style tube, GM #3876784, was replaced for SERVICE in July, 1974 by the type without the swaged-down upper end, GM #3865664. You can obtain the original style in reproduction, though.
