Michael, little too much eggshell look. Think I'd use Quantas's semi gloss paint over that, has a better satin look. Sems satin black also nice.

Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!

I have had mixed results with Quanta semi-flat and flat paints.......sometimes too dull and sometimes too glossy. Their medium and semi-gloss seem to run more true to description. Since the Quanta paint line is acrylic enamel (without any hardner) you need to make sure that you continue to use acrylic enamel paints from now on. A lacquer base paint may/will cause lifting and problems.

Many folks prefer and recommend the Krylon #1613 Industrial Semi-Flat, but I believe that it is lacquer based. Not certain about Sems satin.

Another possibility is to mix you own acrylic enamel and then get it put into spray cans. Many auto paint supply stores have this capability. I have done this before......but it is more expensive $$$.

In the past I had to touch up some of the engine bay and used SEM "bumper coat", 39103. It matched so well there is no difference in the touch up area verse the original (never painted) area. Now the other SEM commonly used (referred to) by members may also result in the same finish however the 39103 worked so perfect for me why change.
