    Shoulder Belts

I have a 1967 Convertible, base model with the 327/300 and auto transmission. I have read a couple articles that lead me to think that there was a shoulder belt option for my car and that when they were made there was a bracket or reinforcement installed in all the cars in case the option was selected. Does anyone know the truth to the rumor and or how I would install a combo shoulder harness/seat belt if such a kit exists? Thanks!

Ps: If it does exist I'll need one with red belts!

The brace, both sides is over the rear wheels attached via rivets to the fiberglass body. There is a 7/16 weld nut on brace for attachment of belt anchor. The thread is protected by a cap plug pressed in thread.

      Mark -

See your Assembly Manual, section 1-Bolt/Weld, sheet B1, item #10 and #11 for the reinforcement and plastic plug, and section A85, sheet A2 for the belt installation.
