    Congratulations on Louisville Concours win.

My congratulations go out to Bruce Bursten (a frequent poster) for his first place win at the Louisville Ky. Concours with his 57 fuelie. One of the things that is particularly interesting and intriguing about this story is that Bruce drives this car OFTEN. It's not a trailer queen and he still was competitive. For those that don't know Bruce all I can say is that's your lose. Bruce also has a numbers matching 62 340HP with Hilborn injectors sticking thou the hood. He's currently building a 57 Gasser complete with solid beam axle ,Hilborns, and 16 inch Goodyear slicks on Cragers. He has the matching number fuel motor sitting on an engine stand.
My point in this post is to say there are so so many ways to enjoy a Corvette and Bruce seems to have a grasp and knack for many of them. Bruce when are you going to build a road racer? Once again CONGRATULATIONS.

This is great, a driver and a show car. I need a lot of work to make my '64 win any show, but it drives nice.

          Thanks for the kind words.

I have attached a few pictures fron the Louisville Concours at Churchill Downs
The first picture is our car and my wife in the winners circle, with her champagne
#2 is another pic of the class winners in the winners circle.
#3 is on the judging field , the 72 belongs to Dave Schwoppe from Cinci. who got third place
#4 is our 57 on the judging field.

An interesting part of the judging is the operation check which tripped up a few cars.
I was amazed that the 57 passed with flying colors.

          It was a great experience.

You took a jab at my overly restored 59. Well you jokingly said I should make a road racer out of it ,close but no cigar. Soon as I finish a couple of show seasons and get a couple nicks in the too shinny paint I would consider taking it to the Wilmington Mile too see how fast it will go. I've got an extra 3.08 rear end you know. As for the road racing ,it's been my fantasy for a long time to make a road racer out of my 71 LT-1. Would work great in the vintage class on the One Lap Of America. Once again CONGRATULATIONS. One more comment does your hat still fit?

                Mark,
                Thanks.
By the way the bourbon was fantastic, especially Heaven Hills "Larceny" which was as smooth as silk.
