    More and more headlight stuff

The headlight "rings' on my 72. One pair are gold chromate and the other two are galvanized. What can I soak, dip them in with out wrecking the finish to britten them up so that they at least look somewhat newer !
    Thanks

    Hi Rey,
I know your thoughts about painting the "cups", (I think that describes them better), .... in my mind the "rings' position the headlamps in the "cups"...., has to do with heat.
My recollection is that the headlights don't generate enough heat to even melt snow and ice off them, so I don't think painting the "cups" will be a problem. I think a semi-glossy black would make a very nice appearance against the ss "rings" and other lamp mounting hardware and the headlight door mechanism.
    Maybe?
    Regards,
    Alan

It's easy to make them way too pretty!
