    what became of this corvette

    Hi,

maybe this is not the correct forum for this question but,
last weekend I've seen the movie: "Seven pounds" with Will Smith. He drove and chrashed a '63/'64 ?? coupe with a '67 BB hood. Now I can't get it out of my head what happend to this corvette, I know that the '66 ?? conv. from Con-air was restored when it chrashed maybe this one was/is restored to.

According to an article in Popular HotRodding they made a clone out of fiberglass, mounted it to a wrecked 81 chassis.

Car sold at Keuth McCormick auction in Palm Springs Ca. In November 2008. I was there searching for a C2 just before I found my black 67. Car was actually a 64 low horse power glide car. Talked to the owner a little bit about it. I do not recall that any big deal was made of it at the auction. If I recall correctly it went in the low 40k range. Will try and find it on the auction site today.

What about the one from Hardcastle and McCormick? I have forgotten what year it was. It made me sick watching that thing fly over the camera.

        Got a C1 in Starz's Magic City.

My memory is that was a kit car, not a Corvette.

The Hardcastle/McCormick car was a "Coyote" kit car....

Thought so. Never understood why you pick such a p.o.s. for a tv show.

McCormick drove the Coyote, but Hardcastle had a mid year vette that was crashed at the beach as I recall. I remember seeing it flying over the camera.

                  Found it.
