Cleaning up the Fuel Injection Emblems...the writing goes the same way..in other words no distinction from right or left side...Is that right??

Yes. Can't imagine any other way than backward or upside down or pins sticking out.

Tom, Remember your FI emblem is not parallel to the ground. That's one way to spot a suspicious looking 58 to 61 fuel car. I learned that trick from Brian Futo years ago at an National. John
P.S. Try 0000 steel wool.

I used the same hole locations that were there before. This is a proven (dealer docs.) FI car.
