I am rebuilding my 1965 Corvette starter motor, replacing the over-run clutch etc. The Corvette shop manual recommends a No. 20 grease for lubricating the moving parts. What would be an acceptable grease that I can buy at my local NAPA store to use in place of the No. 20 grease? I have some multi-purpose SD polyurea grease rated for severe duty, high temperature, extreme pressure with an operating temperature of -15 degrees F to 350 degrees F (NLGI grade No.2 certified NLGI GC-LB performance).
Good enough?
Thanks,
James West
