For C2 Corvettes who are the best suppliers for parts. My goal is to use as much original parts and restore them but there are always some you need. I'm most familiar with GM A-Bodies where In-Line Tube is the best source and am looking for a similar supplier for my Corvette. Thanks in advance for your input.

Re: Best Source for Parts
In-Line tube has fuel and brake lines for your midyear. I use Long Island Corvette Supply. They are excusively 63-7 suppliers so everything in stock and shipped immediately to your door. You might save a buck or two with the other guys, but you might wait 6 weeks for the part on backorder too..- Top

Re: Best Source for Parts
LICS - If the part is shown online, it's in stock. Zip - web site tells you if it's in stock or backordered. Paragon - gives NCRS members a 10% discount. Those are the only 3 I use and have never been disappointed with any of them.- Top

Long Island Corvette Supply. They only do mid years and will often note if a part is "correct" for judging or not.1973 LS4 coupe. Dark Blue / Black. Turbo Hydra-Matic, PW, PB, PS, Rear Defog, Tilt/Tele, AC, Map Lamp, AM/FM.

Re: Best Source for Parts
Let me give a shout for Keen Corvette Parts. Have used them for most everything, parts are in stock most all of the time. Price competative or many times less than the other suppliers. As with any supplier the question needs to be asked "generic replacement" or part that will pass judging". Ask for Kyle or Kevin.- Top

Re: Best Source for Parts
Rob, If your are looking to have your car judged, be sure to ask the vendor. Many have replacement parts that function, but may get points deducted by a judge for small differences from original part. The previous replays have provided most of the major vendors. Also check the driveline for correct parts.- Top

Re: Best Source for Parts
Contrary to popular opinion an excellent source for parts is EBAY.
Many of the suppliers previously mentioned in this thread sell on Ebay.
If you ask questions and check out the sellers feedback and the return policy you can get some good parts at good prices.
I buy and sell all the time.- Top

Re: Best Source for Parts
Thanks for the replies. My car is unrestored and retains nearly all original components as far as I can tell. There are a few fasteners and bolts that appear to have been lost/ replaced over the past 45 years. I'm mainly looking for these type of parts right now but I'm sure I'll need more as I learn more about the car.- Top

For nuts and bolts you might try Richard Fortier, aka the Fastener King. He advertises in the Driveline. Your best best is to post on here what your looking for, like you just did! Usually, it's a part by part answer, there is no one size fits all solution.

One thing I don't understand about the NCRS forum is why there is not several "forum boards" for technical discussions as well as another set of "forum boards" for parts needed and for sale. There is 60 model years of Corvette's and to search and sort through thousands of posts is time consuming. Having several "forum boards" for technical discussions and another for parts needed and for sale would be cool.
I like the Restorer and DriveLine publications but there is a much better way to buy and sell parts in my opinion. Thanks again for the help.- Top

Amen to that! Like Michael already mentioned, you are not the first one to have this thought. It was put to a vote a couple years ago, but didn't pass. I think it will happen eventually. Bring it up to your Regional Director.
