59 290 hp fi heads

My 59 290 FI engine has the 550 heads. Serial # is 43--. Any one else has these heads in this serial # range?

right here, but i won't be much help since i had to get my correct heads from somewhere else. the block was original, but not the heads...

You did not mention the casting dates but if they are before you car was built you should be OK.

Jerry, the casting dates are both A29. I'm just interested when the change over started and to see who had 550 heads in relation to serial #s, etc
