    1960 Windshield Wiper Motor

Took apart the windshield washer arms, etc. Noticed there is a resistor that was mounted beside it. See attached photos. Also noticed we do not have the vaccum pump and the vaccum storage tank...looking for the items on the net...does a foot pump come with this set up

All C1 cars use the type ballast resister you pictured to reduce the voltage in the ignition circuit.
The wiper motor gets it's 12 volts from the hot side of the resistor.
The one resister pictured is not the typical Delco Remy but an aftermarket one.
Windshield washers through 1957 used a foot pump system with no vacuum canister.
Starting in 1958 the washer system was vacuum driven and did use a vacuum canister.

Thanks for the info...there is a crack right in the middle...so that probably means it is broken??? do you have a pic or the correct name of the ballast resistor ?
