Re: 1965 A/C pictures more help
If you have the 1965 Corvette Shop Manual Supplement (ST-60), it shows several "pictures" (they look like black & white photographs that have been converted into drawings, similar to the pictures in the Owner's Manual) that would probably be helpful, located in Section 13 on pages 12, 36, 37 and 38. The vacuum hose connection drawing is on page 39.- Top

Re: 1965 A/C pictures more help
There is a photo of a '65 or '66 being restored in John Hinckley's second presentation (from last year's national convention?). Slide #29 is a color photo showing the Evaporator Housing Assembly installed in an otherwise empty engine bay. There is a clear view of the STV valve attached to the Evaporator tubes and the Expansion Valve at the bottom of the Evaporator case. I think John's presentations are still available for download at the Michigan chapter's website.- Top

These may help. This is a '65 300hp setup. The compressor pulley is incorrect --too small, since corrected. Also the service port caps should be (are now) plated acorn hex style. You can see where I decided to locate the vacuum Tee. Didn't care for the "loop back" routing shown in the AIM, so went with a cleaner look.- Top

Photo below ('65 A/C Evaporator) is probably the one Scott mentioned. After you click on the thumbnail and get the larger image, click on that image again to get an even larger one.
