    Steve,

I see your Avatar looks like a old Halibrand wheel.
Did you get some for your 56?

Hi Bruce! I "borrowed" the avatar. My Halibrands look like these kidney beans in the avatar except they are bolt-ons instead of true knock-offs. Five bolts, stock pattern and Halibrand knock-offs that push on the center and are held by "O" rings, one ring per knock-off. I bought them nearly 30 years ago from a fellow in Utah who had them on a '62 Corvette. Found them on Hemmings. Someday I will put them on the '57. I have some GY Blue Streaks but they are later 60's vintage so looking for other tires. Since mine is Polo White it will look like the avatar.

Hope all is well in Ohio.

Quite a few errors on that chart.

          Steve,
Ohio is doing just fine, at least I am.
The Halibrands caught my eye since I am in the middle of deciding what wheels to put on my 57 Corvette gasser project.I have looked at a lot of old Corvette gasser pictures and many of them used Crager and Torque Thrust wheels.
I like the Rocket or ET 12 spokes on the front but don't know about the rear wheels.
I do have a set of nice vintage 16" X 8" Cragers for the back which I will probably use.
Do you have any thoughts on my "dilemma"?
The car itself is coming along fine.

Sounds like it will look great Bruce. The Cragers are period mid 60's. Also in the timeframe of late 50's to 60's are the 5 window dished Halibrands and wide Americans. Since you can now get repro cheaters that would look great on the street with the FI stacks. Just money Bruce, just money---
