I noticed on my friends fairly original 1966 PowerGlide Small Block that the upper part of the 2 part modulator line has a larger diameter that the lower part line. I also see in Dobbins Fact Book on page 244-245, that the modulator line that goes in a loop over the distributor vacuum unit appears to be rather thick, almost same size as the fuel line. Is this a correct observation? If so, where can I buy a correct looking modulator line assembly?
The only source where to buy the modulator lines for a 1966 from that I found, is Long Island Corvette Supply. But their assembly has same outer diameter for both lower and upper modulator line (and no flares).
Anyone with an original 1966 PowerGlide Small Block (or just the knowledge) that can sort this out for me?
Thanks,
