71 BB R60 looking for expansion hose clip or part #

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a clip that holds the expansion tank to rad hose to the inner fender. My AIM was smudged and doesn't show the part number. I'm assuming it's metal as the bolt for the AC hose clamp passes through it.

Also, there are two holes in the fender in this area. One over the A-arm and one forward near the radiator. Which hole was used for the AC hose clamp?

If anyone has pictures of this area, please post them. I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

The clip was GM #120527. However, it was a PRODUCTION-only piece, never available in SERVICE. Instead, GM's instructions for this part number were "procure locally". Some of the Corvette parts vendors might have it, though.

      Thanks Joe,

Would you happen to know what it was made of? Metal or plastic. It sort of looks like a P shaped clip. I might be able to find a close substitute.

The information that I have is that it was a steel clip with a rubber coating for the circular portion. However, I'm not 100% sure this is correct.

if you zoom in on the picture you can see the holding clamp.

It was metal with a charcoal parkerized coating and was held in place with a 1/2" long 5/16 bolt through the inner fender. Nut was inside the wheel-well.
          hope this helps.

I'm referring to the water hose between the expansion tank and radiator. I found a 70 survivor with the original hose and clamp. I assume the same would be used in 71. This looks like a plastic tie of some kind and is attached differently than in the AIM.

The only one I can find looks like this. Which has two holes and doesn't seem exactly correct. If anyone knows where I can get one of these, I'd really appreciate it.

            Here's the 70s pic.

Mike, just clip the end off and file it smooth. I sure that would fly if the correct one cannot be found.
