Sticking Headlight - 1966

I have a headlight sticking. When I open it manually using the "knob" at the end of the headlight motor it is very hard to turn compared to the one that does not stick. Once I have opened the sticking one about 1/4 of the way it starts to get easier and I can open it using the switch. Also, once it has been opened it will open and close as it should for a while. But as it goes unused for long periods of time it will stick again. Is this the motor or a sticking pivot point or some sticking linkage? What is the likely culprit and the easiest fix?

First remove the motor and see if the bucket rotates freely, it should. If not, you've found the culprit in the bearings.
If it does, then its likely that the grease and gear wheel inside the motor are telling you its time for a rebuild by yourself of by Steve Hackel 708-687-4183.
