Its small, near the opposite side on the"N", where the angles intersect.

Hi Jack. I just looked on the internet at the Paragon replacement throttle cable bracket which has a tab / hole for the spring. My bracket I can tell you has no tab / hole and does not look altered. I wonder if my bracket is correct somehow for another year / time of year, as I also have that small bracket / lever which goes on the carb stud. And they do look like old pieces. My car was built Jan. 1969.

      Tks. Doug

On my previous 69 435, I remember the the Paragon tab seemed out of place when I mounted it on the carb stub (it looked too bulky). It sounds like you may have an original one. This is why all of this back and forth makes the hobby interesting.

Would you suggest I just drill a hole in the one I have, and it has no tab whatsoever, or get the Paragon replacement, as maybe the one I have along with the small bracket / lever is of value to someone with a specific year / time built? I would just give it to who could use it in that case.

Doug. I would guess, you might have missed the hole in yours. 67's didn't use the bracket and my Jan built 68 has the bracket with the hole. So I would think that the bracket is unique to 68's and 69's. If yours doesn't have the hole, could it be for anything other than the vette? IMHO, I would drill the hole and mount the orange spring correctly if you are considering Flight Judging.
