    Reviving old hard headrests

I was wondering if anyone has some good tips to revive old hard headrests. They have some flex but I don't want to push too hard and crack them. Maybe something that I could put on and then wrap them in plastic so that it soaks in??? Thanks

Once the foam gets hard with age & i don't think there is any way to bring them back.

I don't think it is the foam Greg is trying to revive. It is the vinyl he is trying to soften so it won't crack.

Yes that's it Russ but they may go hand in hand, I don't know. For now I'd just be happy in getting the vinyl soft enough so that it won't split if I bump it or someone desides to squeeze it!

I have had many C-2's with Origional interiors that the vinyl was never hard although it did split from the heat. In fact one way to check the door panels is to see if the top of the panel is soft. The old reops at least are hard as a rock.

Greg. Google 'Leather Magic". It is widely used in Marina's and reportedly will soften hardened vinyl. John

Thanks John, I'll give it a try.
