    Re: Gasoline Quality

Has anyone thought of a technique to remove the Ethanol from the gas we purchase? I also wanted to know if maybe a little "racing" or "airplane" fuel may help. I am concerned with the rubble hose from the fuel pump to the gas line from the tank? Any thoughts?

Absolutely out-of-the-question. Any attempt at trying to separate the gasoline from the ethanol would involve using methodologies that would be highly hazardous to one's health and safety. I wouldn't even discuss them.

By the way, one of the common substances used to DENATURE ethyl alcohol (i.e. make it poisonous and unfit for human consumption) is GASOLINE. The reason that it's used is that it's exceedingly difficult to remove from the alcohol in order to "re-nature" it.

Any hose made in the last 20 years or so for automotive fuel usage is E10 compliant.

it would be interesting to ask the suppliers of these "correct" fuel hoses are they E-10 compliant.

Any rubber fuel hose that is more than 15-20 years old should be replaced ASAP. The hose from the frame pipe to the fuel pump is the shortest-lived because it runs much hotter.

The above is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to any C2/C3 because if either to the two rubber hoses in the fuel line splits, the entire contents of the fuel tank will drain because the tank is higher than the fuel pump. This has caused more than a few fires.
