I have a 1965 327 with Factory Air. I keep developing leaks around the left gasket where the AC Bracket mounts. I have checked the pump and the flange where it mounts and both seem flush. I get about three months out of a gasket before I have to change it ... Any Ideas?

There's no reason that these gaskets should "wear out". Have you checked the torque on the mounting bolts that exists at the time you have to change the gasket? In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 1965 327 Water Pump Leaking
Fred - Sounds like one of the bolt holes is into the water jacket and the leak is past the bolt threads rather than the gasket. I suggest you remove that bolt, clean thoroughly, and seal the threads. Some people use RTV and others use the threadlocker made for bolts that enter a water jacket. Tim- Top
