Need help to identify rims on 66 Corvette. Previous owner says rims are from late 60's Corvette. Any help would be appreciated. They look like rally wheels from the late 60'S.

Re: Unknown rims on 66 Corvette
Look for 6 inch width and DC or DG codes for 1967. Codes are by the valve stem on originals (and on some fakes.)
Look for 7 inch width and (I forget the code) for 1968 only Corvettes. Search to see what the other posts mention.
Look for 8 inch width and a specific code for 1969 Corvettes. That takes care of the late '60s Corvette codes.
There are many other coded rally wheels from GM, and there are reproductions and "service versions". Different off-sets, even some 14" inch versions for early Camaros.
Bottom line, get one of Alan Colvin's books called "Chevrolet By The Numbers" and look up the valve stem codes to find out what you have.

Re: Unknown rims on 66 Corvette
Not sure of the rim width. Is the code on the inside of the rim? Do I need to take the rim off? The tires are P235/60-R15's. I bought the car from my father-in-law 2 months ago. The seats in the car are from a 69 Corvette, so maybe the rims are too.- Top

Re: Unknown rims on 66 Corvette
I don't think you will find the usual GM codes around the valve stems on those wheels. They appear (to me) to be reproductions as from Wheel Vintiques (and others I'm sure) chrome plated with the repro "police" caps sans the bowtie emblem. I would guess they are 8" wide, which is why they refer to them as Corvette wheels. Chip.- Top
