Paul - My experience is the plate attachment screws are a Torx head screw with a captive flat washer (approx. the diameter of a dime) with an overall length of approx 1 inch with coarse threads. The screw is black phosphate plated. I believe there are several vendors selling them, but I do know that Corvette Central sells them. If you are referring to the screws that attach the "Corvette" filler plate for front bumper that is attached with two screws that are similar with a Torx head but are smaller diameter with a finer thread and a captive washer that is the same diameter as the head. Hope this helps and that you are able to zoom in to see the screw head/washer. Sorry this is the only picture I have access to right now.

Thank you Thomas. I checked the bolts and they are correct. I am in real good shape. The air filter is correct, also oil filter. The battery is a replacement Delco freedom. The car has 10,700 miles, and full documentation binder with every piece of paperwork related with the car including a VCR tape . Put on the NCRS sticker on the winshield and have a fire extinguisher. Going to the Florida regionals Jan 2013 for Topflight

        Paul,
Don't forget a battery cut-off switch to go with your NCRS sticker and fire extinguisher. It not only helps you get the 10 bonus points but is a real benefit because it keeps you from running down the battery (hood and doors will be open for long periods) and you won't have to disable the PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) again after completing your Operations Test. Also, make sure that correct air filter is clean with no evidence of dirt in the paper element.
Sounds like you have a nice original car. I enjoyed the judging process with my 95 and hope you do also.
        Good Luck!

Tom, What cut-off switch would you recommend for judging?

From my famous desk drawer full of tiny, forgotten Corvette parts................... These are the correct screws for a 96 Corvette.

Paul, I believe four are needed for the rear. As far as battery cutouts go, I have never really found one I liked and can't really give you a good tip on installing one. Hopefully you can get someone to help more on this topic.

                  Re: ncrs judging question 1996

Paul - I have the knife-blade type cutoff switch installed on mine. I found it was easier to use than the knob style given the limited room where the battery is located. I also like the fact that when the knife-blade is lifted you know for certain that the power is disconnected. I purchased mine from a vendor that advertises in the Driveline and am pleased with the quality.

Also, for your judging remember to take a CD and a Cassette Tape with you for the operations portion for the radio functions. First time out, I forgot a Cassette Tape....... hadn't thought of those in years!

Tom, I know about that famous draw. Would those work for a 95? I can use four for my rear plate. Are they for sale?
