    1969 427 motor mount bolts

I'm trying to settle a discussion on how the motor mounts were put in on each side of the block (BB). We're the nuts facing toward the rear, was the pass side nut facing forward? I've heard a number of thoughts but would like to know for sure. We're the bolts cad or black? Was it different from early built cars vs. late built cars? Love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Passenger side was inserted from rear with nut on front side, Drivers side was inserted from front with nut on back side.

Michael, correct, and the reason for the difference AFAIK, is that on the passenger side the motor mount bolt will hit the fuel pump, necessitating the removal of the fuel pump to take out the motor mount bolt. Ask me how I know. I pulled my engine for a rebuild and when I put it back I put in both bolts from the front with the nuts facing the rear of the car. Recently, I had to remove the passenger side bolt and then got into the fuel pump issue.
